The Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon is seeking volunteers for its 35th annual race weekend, taking place May 18-20 in downtown Cleveland.

Cincinnati, May 6, 2012 - California’s Sergio Reyes (2:22:04) who won the Flying Pig Marathon in 2009 returned to the winners circle as he top the field in the 14^th annual Flying Pig Marathon. Lebanon’s Rob Morwood (2:37:30) held off Dayton’s master James Beyer (2:38:30) to take home runner up honors.  Fort Thomas, Kentucky’s Breylen Derrick (2:38:52) finished fourth while 2007 winner Williamsport’s Isaac Barnes (2:43:04) finished fifth.

The month of May brings us some great running weather and some of Ohio largest road races. The Capital City Half Marathon offers a half marathon, a quarter marathon and a 5km on May 5th

USA Track & Field’s board of directors has selected Max Siegel to serve as CEO, President and Chair Stephanie Hightower announced Monday.

The Summer National Senior Games are held during odd years (ex: 2009, 2011, 2013, etc.) To participate in the National Games, you must first qualify through an NSGA State Games during the even years (ex: 2008, 2010, 2012, etc.) In order to compete at the 2013 Summer National Senior Games in Cleveland, OH, an athlete must first compete at a state senior games in the year 2012.  Participants must be at least 50 years old during the qualifying year. You may qualify through the state you live in, or any State which allows out-of-state competitors; however, you should contact these States direct for qualifying information. Boston, USA - Wesley Korir and Sharon Cherop won the 116th running of the B.A.A. Boston Marathon today (16) in 2:12:40 and 2:31:50, respectively. Times were slowed by unseasonably warm temperatures which led organizers to urge many entrants not to race, and cautioned those who persisted.
