Your monthly news & updates

The Ohio High School Association was able to complete a fall season for high school athletes. Along the way there were athletes and teams which had to be quarantine because of COVID 19. This year the OHSAA State Cross Country Championships was held at a new venue the Fortress Obetz. Many athletes, coaches and fans liked the new venue and were appreciative to have a Championship this year.  Congratulations to all athletes, coaches, officials and meet workers.

Arnold Events

As of right now the 22nd annual Arnold 5K Pump & Run and Arnold 5K is on a holding pattern. It might be moved from the first week of March to early June. RUNOHIO will post race and Arnold Sports Festival information as it become available and wait awhile after the date is finalized before accepting Arnold 5K Pump & Run and Arnold 5K entrants.

Three Brothers and the Turkey Trot

Way back in 1967, three brothers ran in their first organized race called, “The Turkey Trot.” Our father and mother, who raised all three of us in the United States Navy, had just moved to a community outside of Chicago. We had just left Catholic School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as our father had been transferred yet again. That is how Navy brats are made – we moved every two to three years and had to make our mark on a new community.

Print RUNOHIO

RUNOHIO plans to print an issue this month with a few articles and results. Due to the spike in COVID 19 there is not a race calendar in the issue. Hopefully, we will be able to have a race calendar in the next issue.
