Arnold Races to Kick Off 2018 RUNOHIO Grand Prix Series

The Arnold 5K times and the Arnold 5K Pump and Run race times will be used to determine the RUNOHIO Grand Prix points.

The Arnold 5K will start at 9:15 a.m. on March 4th at the north end of the Greater Columbus Convention Center and run by the Nationwide Arena, around Goodale Park and return to finish on the north end of the Convention Center.

Entry fee is $33 until February 21st, $40 after and at any Columbus Running store February 23rd - 28th; March 1-3 ONLY at the Short North Columbus Running Company (online registration will close the week of the race) *** Race Day fee is $45. Please register early. Entry fee includes race t-shirt and free entry into the Arnold Fitness EXPO ($20 value) on Sunday, March 4th.

The Arnold 5K Pump and Run registration is closed -

Proceeds benefit the Jeff McGowan Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Columbus 10K Jeff was a 1983 graduate of Circleville High School and a 1990 graduate of Ohio University. Jeff set school records at Circleville High School in the 2.5 mile and 5km cross country events as well as in the 800 meters, 1600 meters and 3200 meters. His senior year Jeff placed 3rd in the Ohio High School Athletic Association Cross Country Championships and was second in the 800 meters and 1600 meters at the OHSAA State Track & Field Championships.

Arnold Sports Festival Overview

With over 50 sports and events, including 17 Olympic sports, the 2018 Arnold Sports Festival presents fitness and fun for all ages March 1 - 4 2018. The festival has expanded into the world’s largest multi-sport fitness weekend since its 1989, when it debuted as the Arnold Classic, a one-day professional men’s bodybuilding competition. The Arnold Sports Festival is co-promoted by legendary bodybuilder and film star Arnold Schwarzenegger.

About 180,000 sports fans are expected to see 18,000 athletes compete in a variety of more than 50 sports and events at five premier venues: the Greater Columbus Convention Center,  LC Pavilion, Ohio Expo Center and Hollywood Casino. At the popular three-day Arnold Fitness EXPO audiences enjoy over 900 fitness-related booths and ongoing stage entertainment.
