Thanksgiving Day races have grown over the years and now ranks as oneof the top days of racing, perhaps only behind July 4th races. The BuffaloTurkey Trot is the oldest road race in America as last month was the 116thannual. The Cincinnati Turkey Trot celebrated it 102nd running thispast Thanksgiving. Both races saw only men compete the first few years. 2005was the last time that the Cincinnatirace had more men – 4,677 than women – 4,399. This year’sCincinnati Thanksgiving Day Race had 7,514 women and 6,277 men finish. Checkout over 40 Thanksgiving race results on the RUNOHIO Results page - 
Jingle Bells will be ringing as a number of Jingle Bell Runs and other Holiday and New Year races will be held this month. Check out all of the December races in the print RUNOHIO Race Calendar - 
The 2012 U.S. Olympic Marathon Team Trials will be held in Houston on January 14th, a day prior to the 40th anniversary of the Houston Marathon. The races will determine the three men and three women who will represent the United States in the marathon at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. For more info - 
Nearly prefect November cross country weather greeted 449 boys from 146 schools and 456 girls from 152 schools who participated the 84th Boys and 34th Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association State Cross Country Championships. Over1 10,000 fans enjoyed the weather, the six races and perhaps the country’s best High School State Cross Country Championships. - 
Much of the talk leading up to this year’s Championships was how would the new course compare to the Scioto Downs course which was used for the past twenty six years –
The USATF National Club Cross Country Championships will feature the top clubs from across the United States as they vie for honors and bragging rights as the nation's top cross country team. - 
The Mid-East Cross Country Championships presents the best high school men & women senior runners from Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and other area states –
