The winter cold is here for a little while longer. Spring will be here soon! Hopefully, you are able to get out and do some training. I have had the opportunity to do some running outside, but I have also been trying to run on our school's treadmill to avoid the cold and ice. I also had the opportunity to go to Houston for four days for The Running Network winter meeting and watch the USATF Half Marathon National Championships and the Chevron Houston Marathon.

Happy New Year!
The staff of RUNOHIO would like to wish you and your family a Happy and Safe New Year! Hopefully, you have been able to take advantage of the nice weather we have had recently to get in some good winter training. When you are making your New Year's Resolutions we hope you will consider volunteering at a local road race, if possible helping to sponsor a local race, helping a new runner to understand proper training, and helping your neighbor who might need some assistance. If we all do a few kind acts to help others nearby, I am sure 2010 will be a great year for all of us.
