The University of Oregon’s Hayward Field will be the stage for the biggest domestic event on the 2022 track and field calendar - the June 23 -26 USATF Outdoor Championships and will offer a preview of what’s in store when the first World Athletics Outdoor Championships on American soil comes to Eugene on July 15-24.

World Athletics Championships
The World Athletics Championships is the jewel in the crown of World Athletics' global competition program. It is the third-largest sporting event in the world, involving approximately 2,000 athletes from more than 200 nations competing for 49 gold medals. The first World Championships in athletics was held in Helsinki in 1983.
