The Columbus Roadrunners Club (CRRC) is the oldest running club in central Ohio, founded in 1975. The CRRC is a nonprofit organization, 501(c)(3) status, with the purpose of promoting and encouraging running at all levels. We are a member of the Roadrunners Club of America. As a club we support the running community.
We offer group runs, competitive races, social events, training information and volunteer at a variety of events throughout the year. As a member, you will become a part of the larger running community and you have the chance to contribute to it as well. Be a part of the CRRC running community. Join and be a part of the group runs, race, special events, discounts, or the bi-monthly newsletter, it is easy to become involved.
The CRRC currently hosts weekly group runs, at Highbanks Metro Park on Saturday mornings and Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning. The groups meet at the Oak Cove area. More information about the group runs can be found on the Club website - https://columbusroadrunners.org
In 1984 the CRRC started the annual Winter Run, with a 15 mile and 3 mile run option. The CRRC Winter Run was initially held in Pickerington, and later moved to Granville. This race was usually held in February or early March, and had a long tradition in the central Ohio area.
On February 12, 2023, the CRRC Winter Run will return to Granville with the start and finish at Timbuk Farms. The new location will offer a very challenging course for runners preparing for a Spring marathon. There will be a Half Marathon (2 loops of the 6.8 mile course), Quarter Marathon and a 5K.
